Employment Training

T.R.Y. prepares clients with a variety of scholarship-enabled employment and life training sessions to help them build awareness, gain confidence and develop useful skills to seek employment and independence as they rejoin their community.

Men participate in a 5-month, 750-hour apprenticeship program where he will receive on-the-job training in rehabbing homes, commercial cleaning, lawn care, landscaping, machinist training and inventory/logistics management.

Objectives:

  • To give a client technical skills that will make him more employable
  • To guide a client in developing skills in personal effectiveness, communication, leadership, discipline, behavior, grooming and appearance to promote a healthy and safe work environment
  • Financial accountability
